May poetry night
Posted by Violet Nesdoly on May 9, 2012
Fourteen poets and guests gathered on Monday, May 7th to enjoy poetry, prose and a snack. As usual the fare was varied and interesting, ranging from shoes to driver distraction, with lots of wisdom for life and relationships in between. Poems about mothers were popular this month and we were treated to variations on the topic including a poem about Mother Earth, and another about fairy godmothers.
Our June meeting will launch two books with their authors as featured readers (check back soon for more details). An open mic at 6:30 will start us off, so come prepared to read (you know the drill—sign up with Brayden when you arrive).
