Ariel

A voice cries out from the wilderness
Whispering of a forlorn hope
But I only hear the beating of my heart
The wind rustling through the leaves
And a bird chirping
In the silence of my mind
Echoing and over and over in my head
A throbbing despair!
But in the moment of my greatest anguish
I find a helping hand
To lift me to a cloudless sky
And a towering pine
In the scented mist
Of morning air.

Bold Beauty

Bold beauty strolls among the flowers
The wind blowing petals in her face
Her parasol twirling a twilight in the sun
Casually, she bends to pick a tulip
She cannot smell
Bold beauty is bashful!
A gust of wind blows across her eyes
She parts her hair to look
She cannot see
Bold beauty is bashful!
She raises a dress white as a crinoline
To walk once more
Among the flowers
And like the flowers, unpicked
She holds her beauty inside
She does not dare to show it
Bold beauty is bashful!
And in an instant
Her lips move slightly
A smile spreads across her face
A faint, flickering moment in the sunlight
Bold beauty is beautiful!

Hello. I read some of your poetry while waiting in a doctor’s office in Abbotsford. It was from the book “All my Paths are One”. My son is a budding poet and I was wondering where I would be able to buy this book?
