Miya Fontaine

So this is it…

You’ve now completed the transaction
of personal exchanges
That’ll change your very life
as you know what my friend
Is it all right if I refer to you as such
I just know we could be friends
Since you committed to the decision to click my story
To become your story
our story
You… my friend
are about to open up a new nostalgic world
of infinite possibilities
Prehaps a tall tale of mentally ill proportions
Care to join me?
PS
I don’t come equipped with..
medication, cyanide pill, or regular therapy sessions
If you’re as ill as I
And are still reading me
Yes I know we are going to be, just the best of friends

Welcome to the Imagination Station…

Odorless garlic
has no confidence

Polka dots
are just undeveloped
buttons

Following…Stalking..
it varies from
Person to location

Where does a Caucasian stand
after Labor Day

With fate
comes faith

Neil Armstrong maybe first man on the moon
he’s yet to win an arm wrestling contest

Andy Griffith Lost episode
‘Sheriff Andy Taylor needs to be talked down from Mayberry’s Bell Tower’

Motivational speaker slogan
Putting in minimal effort since 1990

Is IHOP owned by Apple

A CD called all those hits you know
just can’t put your ear to

A show about nothing
Is never boring

You know your days as a writer
Are in need of encouragement
When you find your novel in the discount bin
at a second hand store

Writing techniques
Does spell check count?

If God’s all the way up there
Does he have to chew gum
to pop ears?

Family
Makes for good television

Catching some ZzZz’s
To get back to point A

Some folk just use a sleep aid
To knock themselves out
I just use a frying pan

Does Maury Povich
Feel he made a difference

“I’ve been working ever since I was a kid”
“I retired when still in the womb”

Miya Fontaine

09-12-16 MiyaMiya may not be a part
Of a modern society
Yet, she is a a member
Of a poets’ society
Yet to label herself as a poet
is just offensive, to those folk who have gone to school
To study literature
And who can spell the word punctuation
Without having to look it up
Don’t think
Just write
Can’t have creativity
without a dose of insanity
Miya is just your run-of-the-mill
Mentally ill writer
Yet is she always right?
