Picking Flowers
Picking Flowers – Poems by Thurlow Gowan with tributes and poems by friends
A 2012 MSA Poets Potpourri Society Project
This 160-page volume is a time capsule, with poetry reflecting the history and changes observed by its almost 100-year-old writer over at least 70 years of writing. Gowan’s fifty-plus poems are divided into sections titled Biographics, Flin Flon, Old Days, Relationships, Philosphics, and West Coast. Black-and-white photographs add nostalgia and realism.
MSA PPS members and others contributed writings to the Tribute section. Member poems make up the last 36 pages of the book.
